Dan's Buck --- 2011 Season It's the second week of the season, which has been rather mild He decided to take the morning off and head up his stand, the weather had turned colder after a day of hard rain.. It was getting late, and he didn't feel his chances were great . Then along came this beauty, a doe.. She stopped to look and smell the crisp morning air... It was  silent, a Hunter's Dream, except the bubbling of the babbling brook He heard some other rustling sounds, further upstream Oh, look at that , a nice 8 pointer, another clean shot and down he went.. Dan has a passion for 8 pointers..     Update Fall 2011 Some pictures of this years deer.. The mother seems to have disapeared, haven't seen her in a while... These young guys are very brave , within 50 feet of our back door.. Very intrigued by the chickens as well as you can see in one of the photos

He took this on the 2nd day of the season 2010..Just got up into his stand, early A.M, and heard some rustling and scratching..

Then this beauty, walked thru the brook..

He called a couple times with his grunt, and then seen him lift his head..

A clean shot and yet the deer scampered another 80 Yards or so...

Dan say's he spent 1 1/2 hrs getting him out

, what a day and another Happy Hunter
