March 11 2007 Once again a mild winter for us, not a lot of snow. There was a period, January, February where we had some cold days, put quite a dent in 2 cords of firewood. Today we are scheduled to receive some rain 10 mm or so, and that may quite possible erase the last markings of snow. Last fall we completed a couple new walkways / bridges on the golf course. One just below the apple tree, to the left of the 4th fairway, which will make it easier to get to the green from the number 5 tee. The other, required a culvert and quite a bit of fill on the 9th fairway, this will shorten the walk to the green. The first year for us operating the Golf Course, can be deemed a success. A significant number of visitors got out to enjoy a round or two of golf. The Trails System we've developed has worked out quite well and has received many favorable comments from visitors. So, now we face spring and the annual spring thaw, no doubt there will be a few ruts in the driveway as the frost comes out of the ground. We're excited about 2007, this year being our 10th year of operation . We have been able to hold our 2007 rates to those of our 2006 rates; so, if your planning on visiting these parts of Nova Scotia, have a look at what we offer, and maybe we'll get a chance to meet you! We've implemented a new On-line Reservation System, which will enable our guests to verify, On-line, Room and Chalet availability. This is however not a secure service, so we will still have to contact you for Credit Card information. Our website continues to be dynamic and ever evolving. Also, something new for us this year is a Dinner Offer , which you can book on-line as well. Dinner and Coffee or Tea for $ 12.95 per person. Many of our Guests have chosen us in the past because we also operate a Licensed Restaurant. So, effective immediately you can choose from a choice of 4 entrees and book your meal as well as your accommodations , all at the same time.
